So, my mom and I lived in Japan for several years, and while I was in Japan that was when the ADA was then passed. My parents believed that here in America there would be more opportunities and educational and work opportunities later on. And so, even though Japan is a well developed country there are not equivalent opportunities that would be afforded here. So my mother decided that we should come back, and I was about 9 years old at that point.
